Amid wild conspiracy theories about her whereabouts, Kate Middleton could use all the support she can get as she recovers from recent abdominal surgery and pulls back from her royal duties. Thankfully, her parents are stepping up to the plate.
According to People, a royal source confirmed that Carole and Michael Middleton "will be there to lend support" alongside Prince William while their daughter takes time to heal from her surgery. It'll be easy for them to be there for their eldest daughter, as they own a property in Bucklebury, Berkshire, which isn't too far away from where she and William reside in Windsor.
In addition to helping the Princess with her recovery, the Middleton's will also have a greater presence around their grandchildren, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, and plan to invite them over for sleepovers. "Her parents are an enduring factor in the upbringing of their grandchildren," the palace insider continued. “And they will be a reassuring presence when she goes back to Windsor to recuperate.”
The latest update comes amid Carole being spotted driving Kate around, marking the first time the princess has been seen since her abdominal surgery. The last time she was spotted in public was in mid-January, with Kensington Palace providing an update the following month that she was "doing well" and will likely wait until Easter before making public appearances and resuming her royal duties.
